Barefoot and Bitless - Equine Podiatrist

An Equine Podiatrist is much more than a barefoot trimmer. Their training, as well as detailed knowledge of the equine foot, covers pathologies such as laminitis and navicular disease, and also nutrition, environment and horse handling. As a member of EPAUK, a minimum of 5 CPD training days is required each year, guaranteeing that EPs are up to date with developments in the evolving world of barefoot trimming.

Jenny Harvey works throughout Northern Ireland and is happy to travel to the South by arrangement.

Equine Assisted Learning

The Power of Horses to Reflect and Influence Human Potential

Equine Assisted Learning, or EAL, focuses on helping people gain a better understanding of themselves through interaction with horses. A horse's safety depends on his instant understanding of subtle, non-verbal signals.

By learning to interact with a horse, the human can:

  • refine his or her communication skills,
  • develop powers of observation and problem solving skills,
  • learn to recognise and control emotions,
  • understand energy,
  • negotiate boundaries,
  • achieve mutual respect,
  • improve team work and
  • develop leadership skills.

These are life skills relevant in all walks of live, and will enhance the development and self esteem of professional leaders as well as the young person with learning difficulties, family members experiencing relationship difficulties etc. It is not necessary to have any previous experience with horses to benefit from EAL

To explore how Equine Assisted Learning could help you, your team, your family or your clients, please contact Lesley Harvey to arrange a complementary presentation on your own premises or an experiential demonstration at
