National Foaling Bank
Since its foundation in 1965 by Miss Johanna Vardon, The National Foaling Bank has united thousands of orphan foals with foster mares who have lost their own foal. to date it has handled nearly 18,000 cases.
Every year hundreds of owners also call the National Foaling Bank for help and advice on difficult foaling cases, twenty-four hour nursing, and information about colestrum, milk replacements, and special dietary requirements.
Remarkably, this operation has been run for all this time on a "shoestring" budget relying on donations, sponsorship, and a membership scheme to ensure the work continues.

Northern Ireland Horse Board Foster/Orphan Alert
The Northern Ireland Horse Board are happy to offer this service free to all breeders, for non- thoroughbred and thoroughbreds alike, in fact anyone needing the facility. The website is accessible 24hrs a day 7 days a week.
