Person or persons unknown have entered a field on the 20th October 2010 at LEIGHTON near WELSHPOOL, POWYS and removed a six month old foal, not yet named and about to be weaned. Other horses nearby were left untouched. It is possible that the thieves may have targeted a foal believing (as was the case) that it was unlikely to have been micro chipped, and un registered / Pass ported, The foal which is approx 10 hands high is believed to have been passed over a hedge to remove it from the field
